Aaah Cashmere, my precious..

So as I mentioned, I am getting into this whole investment wardrobe thing and on my journey of discovery of all things fashion, I have become obsessed with cashmere.
Cashmere dresses, cashmere coats, cashmere pants, cashmere cardigans, cashmere pashminas, cashmere sweaters, cashmere hoodies - you name it, I have drooled over it.
Hell, I think I would even get a little hot and heavy over cashmere earrings if such a thing existed or if it wasn't quite so ridiculous and pointless.
but back to the non-ridiculous cashmere...
I really urge you all to put a little cashmere into your life - it is so soft, so luxurious, so much better and warmer than wool and contrary to a few opinions, it doesn't itch. Now, I am a purist, so I am a 100% cashmere girl. There are some lovely silk/cashmere blends out there, but just quietly I think they are the itchy garments that people are referring too.
Now some of you may say, well Miss Rabbit cashmere is all very lovely, but isn't it expensive? The short answer my dumplings is yes, it can be. BUT the savvy little bargain hunter in me has trawled the internet and a few select shops and found some absolute steals.
Firstly, if you live in Melbourne, get your (soon to be soft and caressed) butt down to 8 Inkerman (go on, guess the address!!) in St Kilda. They have a fantastic range of contemporary styles - from sparkly embellishments on their sweaters to the most sexy, stylish and clingy cashmere dresses, AND they are having a sale at the moment.
Secondly, there is a fantastic website called www.shesellssanctuary.com.au that sells the most lovely and reasonably priced cashmere drawstring pants with tank top set, and it comes in a cute little cashmere bag AND they gift wrap it up all cute 'n stuff AND they are super speedy with the delivery.
If you have more cash to splash, you can try House of Cashmere in Collins Street (there's a store in Sydney too)- very expensive but they are having a sale on their coats at the moment, which trust me, are heaven - and an investment.
I must admit, I am very pleased with myself for getting into this cashmere yoke - I am all for the quality fabrics and long lasting items. And, I am feeling rather smug that the fashion magazines have started featuring a bit of cashmere - ooh am I 'on trend'??? I just come over all a-giggly just thinking about it.
I just wish it would get colder so that i can wear the damn things!
P.S Tell me if you have found any super cashmere bargains - I'd love to hear about it
